Optional welcome message

Unlike v5, v7 will always send a welcome email to newly invited users. We prefer to send login details manually to prevent confusion - it gives us a chance to explain what’s going on and a lot of clients instictively delete automated emails like this one.

Would appreciate the old setup returning, the v7 New User form is much less flexable and useful from our point of view.

After conversing with a number of V5 users, I discovered that they were sending passwords as plain text through email to their clients. This obviously isn’t secure, and this changed to prevent that sort of thing.

I’m curious how you plan on providing that information to clients if the CMS isn’t responsible for it.

Plain text in emails. Security isn’t always the overriding concern. :slight_smile:
