How do i get it back? Now it won't show up in the new tab page. I want to add a new webpage to that list.

When i open a new tab in chromium, it displays the 'new tab' page, which (among other things) contains the 'most visited' pages. Click add shortcut, then enter the name and url. I have tried changing my home.
I think i may have hit the x for a web site that i frequently visit.
But i want to switch back and forth between two tabs. I don't know if it's some temporary sick joke by the chrome team but i need to remove it. Since the last update it has been impossible to hide the most visited sites. One of the options in chrome is to have it show the most visited pages when you open a new tab.
How do i toggle back to the last tab used in chrome on mac? It also takes a snapshot that is displayed as a thumbnail for each site, e.g.: How do i do that?. If you've done any customization of the new tab shortcut tiles, then you've implicitly switched it to my shortcuts.
