Personally, i prefer the intertooth over the airconsole: I've tried restarting my pc which fixed it for a second but then it didn't show the text it was. Battery holds much longer (and survives if not used for some time).

Using airconsole on a standard university/corporate network for dev if this also works, you probably have javascript errors before the airconsole constructor is called.
