I don’t know anyone who pronounces it with a “lyn” ending. I much prefer [name_f]isabel [/name_f] to [name_f]annabel [/name_f]. I love the name [name_f]ada [/name_f], so it’s option as a nn for [name_f]adaline [/name_f] nudges me that way.

I’d much prefer the spelling adaline over adeline, i hate the nicknames adele, della, addie but love ada (rhymes with ava), but would adaline be too problematic? Adeline should always be pronounced as “line” unless you’re french and then it’s “leen”. I feel like i have looked at every name on the planet and i’m driving my husband insane. (i was expecting another girl) and now i need to think of a name for this little guy!!
